scientific models on demand

Modern society relies on scientific models to calculate and predict physical quantities.

Integrating them into modern software, such as web and mobile apps, can be difficult.

We provide web Application Programming Interfaces that reduce integration times from days to minutes.

gravity

Calculate the gravity anomaly for a given latitude and longitude using the EGM2008 model.

Learn more

space radiation

Calculate the flux of trapped energetic protons, electrons and solar plasma with the AE9/AP9/SPM models. Used in space mission planning to mitigate space radiation effects.

Learn more

geomagnetic

Mineral exploration, navigation and consumer electronics all rely on access to geomagnetic information. Calculate field intensity and declination anywhere on or near Earth's surface using the World Magnetic Model.

Learn more

atmosphere

Calculate density and composition of the atmosphere from ground through exosphere with the NRLMSISE-00 and JB2008 models. Valuable information when estimating the orbital decay of satellites and debris.

Learn more

aviation radiation

Our Earth is bombarded by high energy galactic cosmic rays and solar energetic particles. Predict cosmic ray exposures of pilots, aircrew, and frequent flyers using the validated PARMA and CARI7 models.

about us

Amentum was founded in 2016 to provide modelling and simulation services to enhance the capabilities of the Australian Department of Defence. We have since expanded our remit to enable other industries to access scientific software and data. Our user base is global and spans a range of industries, from space operations, to defense, mineral exploration, autonomous vehicle navigation, nuclear technology, through to education.

why the name 'amentum'?

The amentum was a leather strap used by ancient greeks to extend the range and stability of the javelin.

Similarly, Amentum exists to extend the capabilties of its clients through innovation.
